"Do You Think Online Games Will Dominate The Game Community One Day?"
CHAD PHILLIPS
Don't online games ALREADY dominate the game community? I mean, it's all the rage today, as if! I mean, you got yer EverCracks, yer Diablos, yer StarCrafts and yer Half-Lifes. Anyway, I think gaming (as with everything else) will be totally wired (or wireless for those on the edge above the cutting-edge) to the 'net and we all will be downloading "Fluffy Bunny's Bloody Spee Mod v2.34.4 ~~!" for Grand Theft Auto XXI: Hong Kong and all will be good ... Oh wait, we forgot the single player games didn't we? Well, just like a good book, single player will live and thrive on enriched storylines. Single Player will never die.... Can we say "The Legend Of Zelda: The Harmonica of Light"?

Online games have ruled the PC for years...and now that consoles are online, I KNOW that it will prevail over single player and multiplayer off-line games. I now have a problem playing single player games because I'm hooked on SOCOM and Tribes for PS2. The only problem with online console gaming is the amount of quality games out. There are only three really good online console games that i can even think of, and I've already named two of them.

I think that online games still have a long way to go before they become as viable in the market like cell phones are now. I mean its very popular but I feel that one day everything will be online. It also depends on how the consumers take in online gaming. Many parents so not enjoy the interaction with other players because of security reasons. But as long as safet increases in online games at a steady rate then everything will go as developers plan.

DUR!!! Online games are the future of gaming. As far as PC goes, they already rule the roost. I would much prefer to play an online game against other humans then a single player by myself. As far as console gaming goes... it's got a ways to go, but it'll get there. I mean... great games are good, but the games with the best replayability are the ones with really good multiplayer modes.

Has .Hack taught us nothing?! Online gaming will ultimately bring about nothing but pain, destruction, and little floaty ghost-girl thingys. And I, for one, am totally against little floaty ghost-girl thingys. Maybe it was just the way I was raised. But yeah, all RPGs have a message if you know where to look. Like Xenogears. The moral of that story was that if you let your hair grow too long, people are gonna start trying to kill you. Or Final Fantasy 7, even. The whole point of that game was just to serve as anti-Mako Energy propaganda and I certainly didn't appreciate being manipulated in that way.

I think online games already dominate the gaming community with PC online games, I.E. Jedi Knight 2, Quake 1, 2 and 3, Medal of Honor, The Half Life series, Swat 3 and so many more...console gaming might be a favorite but online gaming will soon dominate the market MUAHAHAHAHA
