Sniper Elite Ships To Retail on October 18, 2005.
World War II Sniper Simulation Targets Xbox and PlayStation(R)2

Leading video games developer Namco
Hometek, Inc. announced today that their World War II sniping simulation Sniper
Elite(TM) has shipped to retail stores for the PlayStation(R)2 computer
entertainment system and Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft. Position
yourself behind enemy lines on a top-secret mission to prevent the advancing
Soviet army from obtaining valuable nuclear intelligence from war-torn Berlin in
this realistic sniper game developed in the UK by Rebellion. Featuring detailed
sniper techniques and four modes of online and offline game play, Sniper Elite
is rated M for mature.

Sniper Elite immerses players in the ruins of Berlin in 1945 as a vital member
of an invisible, elite American special forces group with the primary goal of
preventing the Russian army from obtaining atomic research from the Germans. In
taking aim at the enemy from long range, gravity, heart rate, wind speed and
direction, breath, posture, and other factors must be considered for players to
hit their mark. Across 28 grueling missions, players can also search the bodies
of their fallen enemies for additional close range firepower, such as machine
guns, dynamite and deadly trip grenades. The advanced artificial intelligence in
Sniper Elite will require players to continually devise new tactics for
survival, as enemies will flank the player, take cover and even form groups to
attack in numbers.

“Sniper Elite harnesses the intensity of World War II Berlin by positioning
players in the midst of an international struggle for German nuclear
intelligence,” said Jeff Lujan, business director at Namco Hometek, Inc. “The
advanced sniping mechanics and sophisticated AI add to the realism of the game,
making players feel the chaos and danger of fighting behind enemy lines.”

Intrepid freedom fighters can also take Sniper Elite online in the game’s
different multiplayer modes. In a variety of team and deathmatch modes, players
will engage in a unique game of cat and mouse as they stealthily pursue
opponents, seek out optimal sniping position and search for the enemy in their
sights.
