Blacksite: Area 51 Is Ready To Be Abducted on November 12, 2007. The latest Area 51 game has shipped to stores.
According to Midway, the aliens are on their way. Midway announced today that Blacksite: Area 51, the next installment of the Area 51 franchise (last seen on the original Microsoft Xbox) is shipping to stores for the Xbox 360 and PC. The Xbox 360 version of the game costs $59.99 and comes with built in Xbox Live multiplayer support, while the PC version will cost slightly less, coming in at $49.99. Midway has also made mention that Blacksite: Area 51 will also make a close encounter with Sony’s Playstation 3 in December, and while a price hasn’t been announced, its likely the game will follow the next-gen pricing model and hit for $59.99. For those who aren’t sure whether they want to be abducted by aliens, a “teaser” demo of Blacksite: Area 51 is available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Midway is also expecting to release a newer, updated demo that will be released sometime in the future.
