BMX XXX (NGC) Review
Introduction WARNING: The following review is based on a controversial game that many game vendors have decided not to sell or distribute. Please make sure you recieve parental consent before purchasing the game or reading this review. The review is aimed at the market the game has been made for. Please Be Cautious. This game is rated M For Mature.
-------------------------------------
Gameplay Previously, I thought that just 3 or 4 movies of any length
could be fit onto a Gamecube disk with a decent sized game. No
longer! The graphics in the game itself are relatively good, though
not spectacular. They are what we've seen in games such as Tony Hawk
Pro Skater 3. Then there are the movies that can be unlocked through
beating levels (or through codes). For the most part, they consist of
hot, scantily clad girls doing what you'd see in most clubs with
poles. There aren't any full frontal shots, but shirts and
subsequently bras come off, and thongs leave very little to the
imagination.
Story I don't think that so much controversy has ever arisen over a
single game... EVER!!! Parents are up in arms, stores refuse to carry
it, and even rental places are having second thoughts. These same rental
places that carry R rated movies without any problems have to
consider taking this M rated game off their shelves. Lucky for you
(and me), I was able to snag a rental the week that BMX XXX was
released. As the name implies, it is a bike game. Also, as the name
implies, it has some dubious qualities.
Graphics As far as sound goes, other then your Aunt Ruth's beard, there
is very little further from your mind. The music is decent, however
little you are paying attention to it, and the sound effects are
also. There are some phrases said by various characters with innuendos
which are either hilarious or vulgar and obscene. In the movies the
sound and music is pretty much the same as you would hear in various
clubs and bars.
Sound Fun factor... umm... I really don't know where I should start or
go with that one. The gameplay is fun enough, but after talking
about those movies, it seems somewhat pointless. On the other hand,
the movies are fun! Or rather, exciting, I should say. Seriously
though, the game itself is fun. Even though all you're really playing
for is the next movie.
Conclusion I do believe that I've covered the gameplay throughout this
review, so this will be short. The controls are very easy to get used
to, everything runs smoothly, and there's nothing glaringly wrong
with it. There's nothing minorly wrong with it either.
To wrap it all up, this is a decent game for the gameplay and an
excellent game for it's extras. Though use great caution as to whom
sees it, because IT IS NOT APPROPRIATE for a great deal of people,
and can be offensive. I can't recommend it as a good, wholesome game, because it's not. BMX XXX is a kinky game, the product of some really
excited geeks, and a couple of strippers.
