Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 Review
Introduction This game continues and adds up to the saga of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games, also being the best one out. From the graphics to the blood that comes out of the characters when they fall and bash their skulls into the ground, this game surpasses by far all the other Tony Hawk games. I also think it is the best sports game that GBA has ever come up with.
Gameplay The game was pretty good, but there were also some bad things, few and minor but nevertheless they count:
1- the tricks are too easily done, and those 3 missions based on points were easily completed, while the other missions took time, which kind of got boring after a while, because once you get the game, all you want to do is tricks. (if you are anything like me)
2- if you played in free skate, and stayed there for some time, you will get annoyed of the same song repeating all over and over again, I mean the song has to repeat, but they should have made it a few minutes longer.
Story This game is also easier to use than Tony Hawk 2. The tricks are easily done, which sometimes can become a nuisance because without even trying you can score 30,000 points, but then again, the missions are fairly hard and will take you some time to complete, which will add up to your hours of entertainment. Every time that you complete X number of missions you will unlock other levels, which are harder but at the same time more fun. Also, just like the previous Tony Hawk games, as you skate even more, you can build up your status, until it is at its max. There is also my favorite, a skate shop, here like its name says; you can buy other, better skateboards.
Graphics Overall, this game is one of the greatest games I have played in GBA. The graphics are extremely good, (it wouldn’t surprise me if the Playstation game had the same graphics). The music is good for carrier, although if you free-skate it will start getting boring after a while, the levels are pretty good, and the missions are but although a little hard. All this makes Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 the best sports game I have ever seen, and if I had to rate it, I would give it a 9 out of 10, definitely worth your money.
