F-Zero: Maximum Velocity Review
Introduction A basic racing game. It could be better.
This game is based on futuristic cars riding weird tracks at great speeds. The futuristic cars are on batteries, you have to keep your battery level up trying not to crash into the mines that do as sides of the track, also you can get your battery level low when someone crashes into you. You will have the option to recharge it after each lap on strips that are on the road, just drive over them. You will unlock many new cars and levels as you finish the GP tournaments.
Story The graphics aren’t normal. It makes you feel you are playing Super Nintendo, really. Although there are some 3D parts on the levels, especially when you win, explode or fall of the track. Overall, the graphics are good for a handheld but could be improved a lot, as shown in Golden Sun or other GBA games.
The music is a bit boring, but the other aspects, as the sounds your car makes are good. You will get a nice experience, especially of the headphones.
If you are a racing gaming fan, you may consider buying it, if not rent it as I did, so you don’t waste your money!
