Sega Smash Pack Review
Introduction Sega has always been loved by thousands of handheld gamers, but why... the answer is simple and fun games. Once again, Sega released a new big hit for the Game Boy Advance. This time is 3 great games in 1. Sonic Pinball, Ecco the Dolphin and Golden Axe have come all together to make up this great release.
Gameplay There is not much to say about the graphics. I don't think the best has been done in the game but its acceptable. If I had to give an order for best graphics in the game, I would choose Sonic as first, then Ecco the Dolphin and finally Golden Axe. Sonic and Ecco's graphics are smooth, while in Golden Axe they are a little bit unclear and confusing, but anyway, it's this way how it should be, after its a classic, isn't it? For the sound, I would say only Sonic's soundtracks are modern, while the ohters are a little bit boring, not a problem anyway, just get your CD player with your favorite music, sit down for a few hours and enjoy...
Story When I saw the menu this game did not convince me, I thought this would be just another kids game, but after a while I got caught up in the action of Sonic. This game is easy to learn how to play, but it wont be so easy to beat even though there are only 4 levels. Golden Axe is a Sega classic; after you choose one of the three characters you will just have to go kick some ass in a side scroller mode, unless you choose to play in Duel mode. Easy mode is also included, but you wil lhave more fun playing in normal, arcade mode. Ecco the dolphin may be for people seeking for an adventure game, you will have to save the world, being a dolphin, while it doesn't really get my attention, its another classic you should at least try. All of this sum up to give a result of a Sega masterpiece, a classic masterpiece for our favorite handheld.
Graphics Finally, I would recommend this game to you only if you liked the past releases of this games, if not, you really should try something new, or just rent the game to pass Sonic Pinball really quick, it's worth it.
