Dynasty Warriors 38

Dynasty Warriors 3 Review

Introduction
A game that is set way back in the far east coast, where warriors fight to
survive and have their kingdom's dominate.

Gameplay
The music is decent in this. In some stages there are upbeat music which
can get you going on enemies swarming around you. Each character has there
own effects when hitting the punch buttons or what ever you use to hit the
enemies. Arrows yes those are a big deal if you hear one its a good idea to
run.

Story
This game is full of action packed fighting. It has its fair share of
multiple combo techniques and a special to perform on crowd clearing. My
first thoughts were "oh man this game is super hot" and yes it was for
awhile. With over 50 or more characters to unlock and choose from, this
creates big time replay value in completing the whole game. Each character
starts off with a level 1 weapon and yes its the weakest and a much powerful
weapon can be obtained through each level. There are also powerups that can
be equipped but limited to an amount, but this provides your character with
more stats. A basic hack and slash ranging from a 3 hit to 8 or more
depending if you know how to perform combos. May get a bit dull if you dont
like button smashers. Whats different in this game is that it offers a 2
player co-op which I for one got this game for. This provides even more fun
trying to help out a friend and completing the story mode. The ability to
ride horses even helps for travelling distance and the elephant which is a
new addition can really knock the heck out of enemies. Fourth level weapons
and certain items require patience and timing to acquire which could get
annoying when screwed up upon but, very rewarding. There are a variety of
stages to choose from for versus and musou mode. Fourth level weapons have
powers referred to as elements that are either death, lightning, or fire.
Some stages have timed sequence events that you can perform to cause or just
happens at a point that may change the layout of the battlefield.

Graphics
Overall this isn't a bad game. In fact, this game lives up to be a greatest
hits well worth a pick up if you a fan of the genre. The only let down
would be well nothing except those pesky archers that shoot at you then run
when chased after.
